"What is Niche Marketing?"

If you are new to Internet Marketing, or maybe you have been working for months trying to figure out why you can't draw traffic to your website, there are a few things you must understand. Actually there are many things you will need to understand and practice, but here you will learn what a niche market is, how to discover a niche market, and find the correct product within that niche using a few simple tools and techniques. Your goal is to avoid competition and oversaturated markets.

There are millions of products available online that people like you and I buy everyday. There are exceptions to every rule, but if you, and ten thousand other people are promoting a super duper juicer to ten thousand willing and eager buyers, someone has to lose. And the losers will be those that do not have the deep pockets, or the savvy to create websites with super SEO techniques, much less an advertising budget.

Since you have chosen to market products online as your way to prosper in the IM world, you need to be able to make intelligent decisions about what you are going to devote your time to, and you will spend lots and lots of time on your business. Doesn't it make sense to find products that people want (demand), and without a lot of competition?

BTW, juicers are not a niche market, although some juicers are :-)

My Less Than Stellar Experiences

Imagine my dismay when I began my forray into the IM business only to experience complete and utter failure for month after month after month. I picked products that everyone uses. I tried cameras, women's swimsuits and clothing, acne treatments, and so forth. I optimized my sites for SEO to the best of my ability, wrote articles(yuck!), and purchased many products to help me in my efforts. Still the established mass merchants would always rank in Google, while I was buried many pages deep.
